The Journal of the Society for Hellenic-Iranian Studies, S.H.I.S

The Society for Hellenic-Iranian Studies publishes Persis, an international refereed scholarly journal accommodating articles in Hellenic-Iranian studies in particular and Iranian studies in general Persis is published annually and includes articles on every aspect of Hellenic-Iranian Studies, from the ancient times to the present. Also, the journal publishes articles about Iranian studies with emphasis on History, Literature, Art and Archaeology in pre-Modern Iran (before the Qajar period)

Persis is well-deputed and is distributed to several libraries, institutions and individuals worldwide.

Copies of Persis are available at the price of 100 Euros each.

Notes for Contributors (to be included in the link below)

Articles for Persis must be typewritten on one side of A4 paper with double spacing and the following margins: 2,5 cm or 1 inch at top, bottom and left and 4 cm or 1 1/1 inches at the right. An extra line must be left above and below all internal heads. Articles should also be submitted both via email as attachments and by regular mail on disk along with a hard copy. Notes should be numbered consecutively and placed at the bottom of each page. Photographs for reproduction should be original and in the form of bright and sharp glossy black-and-white prints. In case of reproductions, permission by the author or publisher must be obtained beforehand. Whenever possible, contributors should submit original line drawings rather than photographic or other reproductions. Authors of articles will receive 25 offprints free and may order additional ones.
